Introducing the Teak Wood Stokke Ergonomic Kneeling Chair by Peter Opsvik, made in Norway during the 1980s. This vintage Varier Multi Balans chair combines Teak wood with original brown wool upholstery. It's adjustable and foldable, designed for ergonomic comfort.

The chair easily adjusts to four different levels to suit your preferred seating position. Its ergonomic design aims to alleviate lower back pain and reduce discomfort from long periods of sitting by promoting a kneeling posture that lessens pressure on the vertebrae, neck, and shoulders.

Recommended by chiropractors, this chair supports the spine's natural curve and is beneficial for those with sciatica. It stands as an early example of ergonomic furniture design, following the principles set by kneeling chair inventor Hans Christian Mengshoel. Peter Opsvik's design offers a practical solution for ergonomic seating.

Condition - Wear consistent with age. Minor marks on the bottom of the wood base where the chair meets the floor.
